Registration and Payment

The full registration fee includes admission to all sessions, exhibits, town hall meetings, the conference opening reception and poster receptions, the banquet, coffee breaks, and the program book. Optional events such as any special organized activities, workshops for which there a fee is applicable, and field trips are not included. Single-day registration is not applicable if you have submitted an abstract and will be presenting at the meeting.

International Travel Grants

SWS is proud to offer International Travel Grants to provide financial assistance to wetland scientists from developing countries, who are disadvantaged through regional economic conditions, to enhance their participation in Societal activities. The goal of this award is to foster participation of the international membership through a travel grant to the JASM meeting and free membership in SWS for 3 years. Apply today! Be sure to have your JASM abstract submission number available.

Guest/Social Registration

Spouse and guest fees cover only the conference social events such as the Sunday welcome reception, coffee services, and the poster receptions. Optional events such as any special activities are not included. However, spouses and guests are encouraged to register for the special activities. Spouses and guests cannot be admitted to the sessions without paying the appropriate full registration fee.

Mentoring

A mentoring program designed for students, postdocs, early career professionals, and novice meeting attendees will be offered during the meeting. Those who sign up for this program will be matched with an experienced scientist or other professional who can help participants enhance their meeting experience and extend their professional network. To build on informal meetings and interactions, several convenient opportunities will be offered for mentors and mentees to connect during the conference week. You may indicate your interest in being a mentor or a mentee when you register for the meeting.

Mentor/Mentee Dinner, Dessert, or Drinks

A mentoring event for undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdocs will be offered during the meeting. Those who sign up for this event will be matched with an experienced scientist or other professional who can help participants enhance their meeting experience and extend their professional network. Mentors will be matched with several mentees based on shared interests. The mentor/mentee group will have the opportunity to socialize over an informal dinner and/or drinks at a local establishment. This event will be held early in the week to facilitate networking during the rest of the conference.
