Student/Early Career Lounge
Fostering communication among students and early career professionals and providing information about career opportunities is an important part of this meeting. An area of the exhibit hall will be reserved for a Student/Early Career Lounge, allowing attendees to meet each other in a fun, relaxed setting. This area will also host the Career Bulletin Board, where prospective employers are invited to post job announcements and students and early career professionals are invited to post a one-page résumé.
When you register for the 2014 Ocean Sciences Meeting you are given the opportunity to indicate that you would like to be included in the room sharing service. The purpose of this service is to connect attendees who wish to share a room at the conference with other like-minded attendees. To facilitate this action, a list of all attendees who have requested to participate in the service is circulated to these attendees. We make this list available so that they can contact each other and make personal arrangements. Once arrangements have been made, it is the attendees’ responsibility to contact the hotel of their choice for specific reservations. This list is updated and resent weekly. By sending you this information, neither OSM 2014 nor the conference management organization is responsible for individual roommate choices or referrals.
If you did not indicate the preference to be included on this list during registration but would like to be included, please send an email to the conference management office at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will add you to the distribution list.
