International Travel To the United States - Visas and Passports

The Estuarine Research Federation advises anyone who needs a visa for the ERF 2005 conference in October of 2005 conference to apply as soon as possible. The U.S. Department of State requires citizens of many countries to obtain visas to enter the United States. Security-related policies have greatly increased the processing time for visa applications.

In addition, as of 26 October 2004, the State Department requires that citizens from visa waiver program (VWP) countries must have machine-readable passports. If they do not, they MUST obtain a visa to visit the United States.
